Balltown - Educational Videos for Early Child Development & Learning

BALLTOWN was created by the award-winning advertising team of copywriter Lee Johnson and art director Norman Eaglestone. Johnson is also a best-selling self-help author and used his experence as a family therapist to add a distinctive educational component to the series.

In its test-market launch in South Africa, BALLTOWN received rave reviews from media and parents alike, and achieved the unprecedented feat of being featured by all four national television channels simultaneously. It also attracted product endorsement and ancillary application interest including videos, fruit juice, children's clothing and greeting cards. Subsequently, BALLTOWN co-creator Lee Johnson moved to Vancouver, Canada and is currently developing the product in collaboration with local and international partners.

Apart from being a charming and highly entertaining television and video series, BALLTOWN has a far more serious and valuable goal to teach children important lessons, universal life skills and values and also serve as an important teaching guide for parents and teachers. Because of the universal nature of the subject matter in the series, the stories are of permanent and lasting value, transcending cultural, educational, and geographic boundaries. In addition to the original English version, the video series has been translated into Zulu, Xhosa, Farsi, Turkish and Arabic for broadcast in the Middle East.

BALLTOWN is owned by BT Entertainment Holdings Ltd, an entertainment company which is primarily engaged in the development and production of this values-driven, non-violent children's animation program and its ancillary projects.
